COLLECTION AND USE OF CANDIDATE INFORMATION
When you register as a Candidate on the WOB web site, your information is added to the online database, and is generally available for viewing by any recruiter who registers with this site. As you complete the registration, you will note that information is noted as Required, Optional or Private. In order to complete your registration, you must provide all required information. Required information will enable verification, allow EWC to communicate with you and to allow recruiters to validly search certain fields of the database, although all required information will not be generally viewable. Optional information is searchable by recruiters, therefore EWC recommends that optional information be completed. Private information will not be disclosed except for EWC internal purposes. Your name, address and e mail address are added to the EWC mailing list so that, from time to time, periodic updates about the WOB Initiative, The WOB website and functions, and about EWC can be sent to you. Any personal information contained within your uploaded resume or your brief biography will be fully viewable by anyone using this site. Before posting, you should consider whether these items contain confidential information which you do not wish to share, and should edit selectively to exclude information which you prefer to keep confidential. Please be aware also that personal information disclosed on Website may be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited communications from third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of WOB and EWC but are not endorsed nor supported. The site has been designed to minimize unsolicited communication.
COLLECTION AND USE OF RECRUITER INFORMATION
When you register as a Recruiter on the WOB web site, the information you are required to provide is collected by EWC but is not shared with others, although it may be used for tracking and evaluation purposes. All Recruiters must agree to use the information made available by this website only for the intended purpose. EWC reserves the right to remove any Recruiter suspected of misusing information. In addition, your name, address and email address are added to a recruiter mailing list maintained by EWC so that, from time to time, EWC can communicate with you.
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
This website does not rent, transfer, sell, or share personal information with external parties, and EWC will not solicit you, other than as set forth in this document.
Physical, and procedural safeguards are in place to protect from unauthorized access personal information used to access the website.
EWC endeavors to assure that the files accessible from its websites are free of viruses, however WOB nor EWC are not responsible for the contents of the files. References to or from any non-EWC entity, product, service, or source of information in this site should not be considered an endorsement, either direct or implied, by Executive Women’s Council of Pittsburgh. EWC accepts no liability for the content, security or privacy policies of such sites.
EWC does not independently investigate the accuracy of any information provided by candidates. While EWC requires recruiters to register before viewing any data or resumes, EWC does not perform any independent investigation to confirm the legitimacy of the recruiters.
